A while back I wrote about reading the Bible in 52 days. Well, I finished. Not in 52 days. 65. There’s a satisfaction that comes with completion even if at a later date than expected.
It was daunting. At a point around Isaiah/Jeremiah, I didn’t know if I’d finish.
It’s cool how much you catch by reading through whole books in one sitting. Howard Hendricks in Living by the Book talks about that. I wouldn’t do it all the time. But try it out. Read it for what it is in its entirety. You see a lot. The same way you see stuff when you read things for depth. Picking it apart. Just different things.
Whoop for completion. Excited to get to read books for fun again. Extra books. 🙂
